THE MAYFAIR CHIPPY

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Our Commitment to Community

At The Mayfair Chippy, we believe good food should do good too. We're proud to have been awarded a Silver CSR Accreditation, recognising our ongoing commitment to responsible sourcing, staff development, community support and the meaningful, hands-on difference we make for people in our local area.

Our CSR programme centres on tackling food insecurity, sharing practical life skills and supporting local organisations doing vital work on the ground. From January to April this year alone, we provided 310 meals to members of the homeless community across our local outreach and partnerships and we're aiming to grow that impact year on year.

Supporting Farm Street Church, Mayfair

Since January 2026, we've been working with Farm Street Church in Mayfair to support people experiencing homelessness in the local area, with regular outreach walks delivering freshly made sandwiches to top up the church's weekly offering. We've also hosted "fish and chip" evenings, providing 30–40 portions each Friday for the church's gatherings.

18 Keys, Wandsworth

Between January and March, we delivered bi-weekly cooking lessons at 18 Keys, a charity supporting women experiencing homelessness, helping residents build practical skills and confidence in the kitchen. It was some of the most rewarding work we've done. Many of the women have continued cooking together long after the sessions ended. In 2025, we also supported fundraising for 18 Keys' new shelter in Wandsworth, and our team has run company-wide clothing donation drives to support both 18 Keys and Farm Street Church directly.

Responsible Sourcing

Good food starts with doing right by where it comes from. We work with Smales, an MSC-accredited seafood supplier, and source as much of our produce from within the UK as possible. From Sussex halloumi and strawberries to British wines, potatoes and much more. We recently removed cod from our menu in response to the overfishing crisis and won't bring it back until stocks recover.

Looking Ahead

This year, we’re looking at our next projects and while we plan for this, we're donating £200 to the Felix Project on World Hunger Day, providing 540 meals to people in need, alongside ongoing "Champagne Dinners for Two" donations to charities throughout the year. As we grow, we remain committed to strengthening our community partnerships, our people and our sourcing standards. One meal, one lesson and one community at a time.
