The Mayfair Chippy is backing #VATsTheProblem, the national campaign calling for UK hospitality VAT to be cut from 20% to 10%. Spearheaded by Tom Kerridge and industry leaders across the country, it's a movement to protect the restaurants, pubs, hotels and cafés that drive our economy, create jobs, and keep British community and culture thriving. We're proud to play our part.

Here's the deal
Every Tuesday until 1 September, visit our Knightsbridge branch on Brompton Road, add your name to the petition to cut hospitality VAT to 10%, and we'll take 10% off your food bill. Crispy batter, proper chips, a fairer future for hospitality, all in one visit. That's 10 for 10 Tuesdays.
Why it matters
The campaign already has 200,000 signatures behind it, and we want to push that number as high as we can before the month is out. A lower VAT rate would let businesses like ours invest where it counts: in our teams, our local suppliers, our communities, and the experience we give every guest who walks through the door. Hospitality is about far more than serving great food. It's about creating jobs, supporting local suppliers, and giving people places to come together.

Families can also enjoy a reduction from 20% VAT to 5% VAT until 1 September on all children's meals* at The Mayfair Chippy, as part of the Governments temporary VAT reduction. We know the school holidays can be an expensive time, so we're pleased to help make family meals out that little bit more affordable.
