Think you can handle it? The Mayfair Chippy Challenge is here! National Fish & Chip Day is Friday, 6th June — and The Mayfair Chippy is marking the tastiest day of the year with an epic food challenge like no other.

Introducing The Mayfair Chippy Challenge — an enormous 3.5 kg feast of British chippy classics, available exclusively at our Knightsbridge location. Up for grabs: 1.5 kg of fish, 1 kg of chips, a battered sausage, a regular sausage, two battered gherkins (AKA "Wallys"), tartar sauce, mushy peas, and curry sauce. The twist? You’ve got just 45 minutes to clear the plate.

Are you 18 or over, in good health, and hungry for glory? Then it’s time to throw down the gauntlet. Pre-booking is essential — spots must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance.* Join us at The Mayfair Chippy Knightsbridge this National Fish & Chip Day, and make history – one bite at a time.

1. The Challenge

Participants must consume the full challenge platter, which includes:
o 1.5kg of fish
o 1kg of chips
o One battered sausage & one regular sausage
o Two battered wallys (gherkins)
o Tartar sauce, mushy peas & curry sauce

The entire dish must be consumed within 45 minutes to successfully complete the challenge.

The restaurant must be made aware 48 hours in advance of the booking if you wish to take part in the challenge.

2. Eligibility

Participants must be 18 years or older.
-
You must be in good health and not have any known food allergies or dietary restrictions that could pose a risk.

You agree to take part at your own risk and accept full responsibility for your health and wellbeing during the challenge.

3. Waiver & Liability
-
By entering, you acknowledge that this is a voluntary eating challenge, and that The Mayfair Chippy accepts no liability for any adverse effects (including, but not limited to: illness, choking, allergic reactions, or discomfort).
4. Winning the Challenge
-
To win:
o The entire platter must be completely finished (no leftovers).
o It must be completed within the 45-minute time limit.
o No assistance from others is permitted

If successful, you will:
o Eat for free (no charge for the challenge meal).
o Receive a Mayfair Chippy Challenge T-shirt.
o Be featured on our Wall of Fame (with your consent).

5. Failure to Complete
-
If you do not complete the challenge as per the rules:
o You must pay the full price of the dish: £85.
o No refunds will be offered under any circumstance once the challenge has begun.

6. General Conduct
-
The challenge must be conducted in a respectful, safe, and clean manner.

Mayfair Chippy staff reserve the right to stop the challenge at any point if it is deemed unsafe or inappropriate to continue.
